Dear Friends and Family,

Each year, we come together to honor Sonal’s life and continue the fight against ALS.

This November will mark 11 years since we lost Sonal to ALS. Not a day goes by that we do not think of her. We feel her absence especially during life’s meaningful milestones, including watching the joy and growth of our granddaughter, Arya, and imagining the many moments they would have shared.

Sonal’s spirit continues to inspire us, and we honor her each year through our Team Sonal Walk ALS. Over the years, we have been incredibly grateful for the generosity, encouragement, and support from so many of you. Your presence, whether through walking with us or contributing to the cause, has meant so much to our family.

As many of you know, Sonal courageously battled ALS for more than three years before passing away in November 2015. Even while facing immense challenges, she remained committed to raising awareness and advocating for those affected by ALS. Her determination and advocacy continue to inspire us.

Someone is diagnosed with ALS every 90 minutes, and there is still no cure. Funds raised through this Walk support ALS United Greater New York, which works tirelessly to advance research, strengthen advocacy, and provide care for patients and families. Nirali is proud to continue supporting this mission as a member of the organization’s Board of Directors.
