My Personal Walk ALS Page
Hello,
Our family is registered for the ALS Walk in New York City this weekend.
We are walking in honor of our mother who left us in 2018, for all those afflicted, for our kids to remember and the hope for a cure. Though short notice, the goal is to create awareness and raise some money. If you’d like to make a donation, please visit our team page http://secure.als-ny.org/goto/FreeBunnies2024.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause or cure.
Your contribution will help fund resources and services to the local ALS community, help find new ALS treatments, and move us closer to a world without the disease.
Please feel free to send this page to any friend or family member who might be interested in donating!
We deeply thank you for your support and if you’re in the area this Saturday, please feel free to join us down at the South Street Seaport. ♥
