Walk ALS New York City

Three Wheeled Librarian

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I'm participating in ALS United Greater New York’s Walk ALS to raise funds that will support individuals and families affected by ALS.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause or cure.

Specifically, we are walking and fundraising in the name of our colleague, Robin Brown. Professor Robin Brown is known for being a prominent NYC librarian, stellar historian, and a staunch disability advocate.

Professor Brown wants to use her diagnoses to teach and support the ALS community. You can join our team for the walk or you can donate to our team or through your own personal account to the ALS fund. Join us in walking and donating in support of the ALS community and our favorite Three Wheeled Librarian!

*Donations aren't showing up by each donors name for some reason, I'm trying to figure out why, progress amount is accurate*
