Welcome to our team page!
We are participating in ALS United Greater New York’s Walk ALS to raise funds to support people in our local community with ALS and spread awareness.
Please consider joining our team in the Walk ALS or choose a team member from the list and donate to our cause.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.

My mother, Wanda Linares , was diagnosed with ALS in May 2023 and unfortunately progressed very rapidly. She passed away March 4, 2024. Though this cruel disease took so much from her and our family, our hope is to walk in her honor , bring awareness, and raise money to support finding a cure. My mother had a heart of gold and was always thinking of others before ever thinking of herself. She had the most amazing sense of humor and a smile that could brighten the darkest of days. She was simply " Wanda-ful". Though her fight has stopped, we will continue it for her ❤.

Please feel free to send this page to any friend or family member who might be interested in donating!

Thank you for your support!
