TeamDeVincenzo
Welcome to TeamDeVincenzo's team page!
In honor of my Father, Joseph DeVincenzo
I'm Lila DeVincenzo, 18 year old triplet of Joseph. My Dad passed away December 29th 2020, after a 5 month heroic battle with ALS. If you knew my Dad you would know how much of a healthy person he was, and yet we watched ALS take his life. Not only was my Dad a great father to me and my siblings but also a wonderful person who enjoyed helping others and was full of many stories, laughs and jokes. I know my Father would be proud of us, walking on May 4th to continue the fight against ALS.
TeamDeVincenzo is committed to raising money to support people in our local community with ALS and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Please consider joining TeamDeVincenzo in the Walk ALS or choose a team member from the list and donate to our cause!
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. That's why we're participating in the Walk ALS. To bring hope. To rise awareness. To provide resources and services to families free of charge. To help unlock the mystery of ALS and fins the key to a cure.
About ALS Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.
Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
Help us move a cure for ALS over the finish line by donating today. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS.
