Welcome to the Katz Walkers Team page!

My father, Sheldon C. Katz, had ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease for 22 years.  Unfortunately, he lost his battle with ALS in 2004.

I’m proud to serve on the Board of Directors of ALS United Greater NY to fight ALS and to honor my father.  For over 20 years, my wife Amy and I have led a team in the Long Island Walk and I’ve asked friends and family like you to help raise funds to support people in our local community with ALS and spread awareness.

The research we’ve funded has led to some promising discoveries, but we are still searching for a treatment and a cure.
