My Personal Walk ALS Hudson Valley Page
Welcome to My ALS Walk Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting and supporting a cause that means so much to me. This year marks the 12th Annual ALS Walk in honor of our dear friend Carol, who lost her battle with ALS. Carol was more than her diagnosis – she was a source of strength and joy to all who knew her, and her memory continues to inspire us to fight against this terrible disease.
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive and fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly takes away a person’s ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. The average life expectancy for someone diagnosed with ALS is just 2 to 5 years, and unfortunately, there is still no known cause or cure. But through events like this walk, we can continue to raise awareness, provide resources for those affected, and fund critical research.
Participating in ALS United Greater New York’s Walk to Defeat ALS is my way of keeping Carol’s legacy alive, while also helping others who are currently facing the same fight. Whether you can walk with us or support from afar, your donation will make a meaningful impact. Funds raised will support individuals and families affected by ALS, aid in the search for new treatments, and bring us one step closer to a world without ALS.
Thank you for considering a donation. Every little bit helps in this fight, and your support means the world to me and everyone impacted by ALS. Please feel free to share this page with others who might be interested in contributing.
Let’s keep the hope alive for all those still fighting and in memory of those, like Carol, who we’ve lost.
With gratitude,Andy
