Rosalie's Walk ALS Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am happy to be back home in NYC to participate in the ALS Walk with my family for the first time in 10 years. I'm participating to raise funds to support individuals and families affected by ALS in memory of my mother, Mary.
My mom lost her battle with ALS over 13 years ago and we miss her every day. As a child of someone who suffered from the disease a life goal of mine continues to be to bring awareness of the disease and assist in research so children in the future do not have to witness a parent suffer like I did.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause or cure.
