My Personal Walk ALS Page

Hi my name is Chaz. My aunt/godmother Tracie died this past year from this horrible disease & this is very personal for me. I usually wouldn't beg for money. I usually wouldn't travel 2.5 hours just to walk around N.Y.C. But once again, I'm participating in ALS United Greater New York’s Walk ALS to raise funds that will go towards research for a CURE & help support individuals & families affected by ALS.
If you cannot give financial or moral support *PLEASE* send this page to any friend or family member who might be interested in donating. Being a part of *ALS United Greater New York’s WALK ALS* is the #1 way to unite & fundraise for those living with ALS. Your donation today will help fund resources & services to the local ALS community, help find new ALS treatments, & move us closer to a world without the disease.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (known as Lou Gehrig's Disease) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow & breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause or cure.
