I walk for my Sistergrandma, Dani Glaser in support of ALS United Greater New York. 

Dani's Story

Dani was diagnosed with bulbar onset ALS in April 2024. This came as a tremendous shock to her and her family. Watching a family member suffer from this degenerative, debilitating illness leaves both patients and families feeling helpless. ALS United has provided Dani, and those like her, with services that enable her to live a fuller life and empower her to continue to enjoy the people she loves. In short, they help humanize a devastating disease. 

A few months after her diagnosis, our involvement in the ALS Walk 2024 started as a way to show our support for her. We had a small but mighty group who wanted to walk in support of this small but mighty woman. The community that Dani has built and surrounded herself with her whole life came out in droves and grew into 100 strong walking and over $87K in donations. We are looking forward to keeping up that momentum this May 31st hope you will support our effort.
