Lilys Legacy
Welcome to our team page!
We are participating in ALS United Greater New York’s Walk ALS to raise funds to support people in our local community with ALS and spread awareness — all in loving memory of Lily, who lost her battle with ALS.
She was the heart of our family — deeply loving, endlessly creative, and full of artistic spirit. Whether she was painting her entire apartment, crafting, or simply finding beauty in everyday life, she inspired us to live with intention and love one another fiercely. This walk is our way of honoring her legacy and carrying her light forward.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently, there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.
Help us move a cure for ALS over the finish line by donating today. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS — and continue to honor the memory of those we’ve lost.
Thank you for your support. It means the world to us. Please consider donating to our team in the Walk ALS below.
