My Personal Walk ALS Jersey Shore Page

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I'm participating in ALS United Greater New York’s Walk ALS on Sept 13th to raise funds that will support individuals and families affected by ALS.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause or cure.
As I am sure you all remember I am doing this to honor my great friend Dr. Matthew Pellegrini, whose life was cut short by this horrific disease. Matt handled the terrible hand he was dealt with grace and dignity throughout his 18 month ordeal and will forever be an inspiration to those who were blessed to know him and love him. Hard to believe he has been gone 19 years and we still have no cure!
This is why I’m walking, for those who can’t. Please make a donation today and support my efforts to make a difference for people living with this disease.
Every contribution, no matter how big or small, makes a difference. Please forward to any friend or family member you feel might be willing to help and join us on the 13th!
Thank you.
