Griffins of the Lair Walk for ALS Page

This is a message from my heart so I hope you'll read it, or at least, jump to the bottom to donate.
On Saturday, Sep 13, 2025, I am once again participating in the Walk ALS Jersey Shore as captain of The Griffins of the Lair ALS Team. I will be walking alongside my husband, Jim (Griff) Griffn, who is now into his fourth year fighting this incurable disease with all his might.
My goal is to raise $2000 this year, individually, and to see the team reach at least $5000, because I’m trying to do everything I can to support individuals and families affected by ALS and make an impact locally.
Obviously, as Jim's wife of 37 years, I have a very personal reason to walk and raise money. I know the devastation ALS brings on those with the illness, and on their family and friends. And I know how much it costs to properly support those on this journey.
We need a cure. Jim spent 18 months as a trial participant on a hoped for breakthrough treatment that ultimately was not successful. But hopefully his efforts will provide much needed data that will help the next trial achieve better success. With your support, we can help Jim achieve his stated goal allowing someone with ALS to "beat this f#*$ing disease."
Please join us in person, in spirit, and/or financially.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. Currently there is no known cause or cure.
Being a part of ALS United Greater New York’s WALK ALS is the number one way to unite and fundraise for those living with ALS. Please consider supporting my efforts by donating through my fundraising page.
Your donation today will help fund resources and services to the local ALS community, help find new ALS treatments, and move us closer to a world without the disease.
Please feel free to send this page to any friend or family member who might be interested in donating!
Thank you.
