Dear Family & Friends:

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Long Island Walk, and the 25th year of Team Raia!

I walk in memory of my dad, Anthony Raia, who lost his battle with ALS in 2005. My dad signed our family up as Team Raia, to participate in the first Walk to Defeat ALS that was held on LI in 2001. Participating in the walk helps me to keep his memory alive, knowing that I am continuing to fight ALS on his behalf. I have met so many other families that have been impacted like mine, and so I come back each year with a renewed hope that one day, families will no longer be faced with a fatal diagnosis.
