Join Me in the Walk for ALS: Honoring My Mom's Memory
This year, I’m walking to honor the memory of my incredible mom, who fought courageously against ALS until the end. Her strength and resilience continue to inspire me every day, even though we lost her too soon.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause or cure.
ALS is a brutal disease that affects so many families, and we need your help to continue the fight. I’m participating in the Walk for ALS to raise awareness and funds for critical research, support services, and a future without ALS. Every step I take is in memory of my mom—and for all those still battling this disease.
Please consider donating to my walk, and together, we can make a difference. Your generosity brings us closer to finding a cure and improving the lives of those affected by ALS.
Thank you for supporting me in this meaningful journey.
Please feel free to send this page to any friend or family member who might be interested in donating!
Thank you,
Ashley Karim
