We are walking in Wayne's memory and to spread much needed awareness to this horrific disease.  We are hoping to raise funds to support people in our local community battling ALS and hopefully a treatment or cure in the future because right now there is absolutely  nothing for those given this devastating diagnosis.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The average life expectancy of a person with ALS is 2 to 5 years, Wayne only lived 16 months after he was diagnosed. ALS can strike anyone, any age, any gender,  it could happen to someone you love. There is no known cause of the disease.  ALS not only takes a toll on family members as caretakers but it is also a very expensive disease costing oved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.
