Why I Walk

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I'm walking with ALS United Greater New York in honor of my dad, David Hart, who passed away from ALS when I was just 2 years old. Even though I didn't get the chance to grow up with him, I carry his memory with me every day through the stories, love, and strength shared by those who knew him.ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a devastating disease that slowly takes away the ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. Most people live only 2-5 years after diagnosis, and right now, there is no known cause or cure. By joining Walk ALS, I'm helping raise funds to provide care for families affected by ALS, fuel research for new treatments, and move us closer to a world without this disease.Walking is my way of keeping my dad?s legacy alive, and every donation makes a difference in honoring him and helping others who are fighting ALS today.
