Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Dave and I are participating in ALS United Greater New York?s Walk ALS again this year. For us, the ALS Walk is an opportunity to raise needed money  for research and to help support the great work of ALS United Greater NY.  

On a more personal note, this inspirational event gives our family and friends the opportunity to rally in support my amazing husband and our ALS Warrior, Dave Bloom! 

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. Dave was diagnosed over 5  1/2 years ago.  Every day is a struggle.  ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause or cure.  WE NEED A CURE!!!!
