Every year we walk to raise awareness and funds for ALS — and every year it means more than the last.

ALS is merciless. It doesn't care who you are or how strong you are. Many of you followed the coverage of actor Eric Dane — and if you did, you know that watching his devastating battle and heartbreaking loss was a daily, gut-wrenching reminder of exactly what this disease looks like up close. For us, every update hit differently. Because we lived it with Mario — privately, brutally, and far too quickly.

So we walk. We walk to raise money and awareness. We walk to fight back. And we walk because when we look up and see our friends wearing the Benforte #3 shirt shirt — we are reminded that love is louder than this disease.
