ALS, also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive and fatal neuromuscular disease that gradually takes away a person’s ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. 

Although there is still no cure, support, research, and access to care can make a meaningful difference for individuals and families affected by ALS.
