Murph's Mafia
Dad lost his battle with ALS on February 20, 2004.
Our next big day together is the Walk ALS on June 7, 2026.
So… how much time is that?
22 years, 3 months, 18 days or
267 months, 18 days or
1,163 weeks and 2 days or
8,143 days or
195,432 hours or
11,725,920 minutes or
703,555,200 seconds
First, get that song from RENT out of your head.
Then sit with this: the average time from diagnosis to death is 2 to 5 years.
That is a lot fewer seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years than anyone deserves. We fight for treatments that extend time — and for patient care that helps make that time QUALITY time with family and friends.
Murph’s Mafia is about the power of many people coming together to do something bigger than any of us could alone. Join us on June 7 by clicking the “Join Team” button or donate today to show your support for Dad and everyone living with ALS.
What is ALS?
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. There is currently no known cure, and ALS can affect anyone.
Your donation helps fund patient support and services for the local ALS community, advances research for new treatments, and moves us closer to a world without this disease.
Thank you for being part of Murph’s Mafia.
