Walk ALS North Jersey

Team Tasos

This year, we're walking in honor of our dad, Tasos Sengos.

Our family has seen firsthand how devastating ALS can be. It’s a disease that slowly takes away the ability to walk, speak, swallow, and eventually breathe, but it never takes away someone’s spirit. Watching someone you love battle ALS changes you. It puts into perspective what really matters and how important it is to show up for the people fighting this every day.

We created this team in our dad’s name because we want to do more than just watch from the sidelines. We want to help raise awareness, fund research, and support families who are going through what we are. ALS doesn’t just impact one person, it impacts entire families and communities.

ALS is a progressive and fatal neuromuscular disease with an average life expectancy of 2 to 5 years from diagnosis. There is still no known cause and no cure. The cost of care can exceed $250,000 per year, placing enormous financial and emotional strain on families already facing the unimaginable.

If you’re able, please consider joining our team for Walk ALS North Jersey or making a donation. Every dollar raised goes toward supporting people living with ALS and accelerating the search for a cure.

I’m walking for my dad. I’m walking for our family. And I’m walking for a future where no one has to hear this diagnosis.

Thank you so much for your support!
