Lily's Legacy
Welcome to our team page!
For our second year, we are participating in ALS United Greater New York’s Walk ALS to raise funds to support people in our local community with ALS and spread awareness.
In loving memory of Lily, diagnosed in the Fall of 2021, She was the heart of our family — deeply loving, endlessly creative, and full of artistic spirit. Whether she crafting, repainting her apartment monthly with vibrant wallpapers and colors, or simply finding beauty in everyday life, she inspired us to live with intention and love one another fiercely. After losing her battle with ALS in 2022, we walk to honor her legacy and carrying her light forward.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently, there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.
Please consider donating to our team in the Walk ALS.
Thank you for your support. It means the world to us.
