My Personal Walk ALS Long Island Page in Memory of my Beautiful Mother Flor M. Pyatt
My beautiful mother Flor Pyatt passed away May 8, 2013. I am very grateful for the time our Lord gave us together. Being her caregiver and advocate was a blessing. She had a strong foundation built on Faith, Family and Friends. She was so full of life, joyous, happy, kind, generous, thoughtful, nurturing, selfless, and so much more. Her laughter, positivity, and warm smile were a magnet. All who had the privilege of being in her company knew this. Thankfully, it was in the late stage of ALS when Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ comforted her, welcoming her into the light of his heavenly face and granting eternal salvation. She is my Angel . She showed courage, strength, dignity and grace despite her suffering. She is my beacon of hope. I am proud to be her daughter and celebrate her life ❤. And by the power of the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ, I will continue to be a voice for the meek and provide support to those living with ALS. May ALS be a thing of the past.
Psalm 136-Praise the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy endures forever;
Saint Paul to the Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause or cure.
Being a part of ALS United Greater New York’s WALK ALS is the number one way to unite and fundraise for those living with ALS. Please consider supporting my efforts by donating through my fundraising page.
Your donation today will help fund resources and services to the local ALS community, help find new ALS treatments, and move us closer to a world without the disease.
Please feel free to send this page to any friend or family member who might be interested in donating!
GOD BLESS YOU
