Welcome to Jessica Maxwell's Personal Page
For those of you that know me, you know I am a runner, just like my dad. The Great Cow Harbor Race has been a tradition for us for many years of which I've shared many pictures.
This year, every mile I run has a purpose. My dad has been diagnosed with ALS and is no longer able to run or walk.
Saturday, September 19, 2026, I'll be running the Great Cow Harbor 10K in honor of my dad, while raising funds for the ALS Walk, which happens to be the same exact day in Eisenhower Park.
ALS has changed our lives in ways we never imagined. Our family is living that reality. My dad has incredible strength, courage, and determination. His resilience inspires me every day. And that's why I continue to run.
I'm also running because I believe in hope. I believe in the power of research, support, and community to make a difference. Every dollar raised helps fund critical ALS research, provide resources for families, and bring us closer to a world without ALS.
If you're able, I would be deeply grateful if you would consider donating to support my ALS Walk fundraising efforts. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. If donating isn't possible, sharing this post would be an incredible way to help.
Thank you for standing with my dad, our family, and everyone affected by ALS. Together, we can bring hope to those living with this disease and work towards a future where no family has to face ALS.
Love always,
Jessica Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I'm participating in ALS United Greater New York's Walk ALS to raise funds that will support individuals and families affected by ALS.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause or cure.
Being a part of ALS United Greater New York's WALK ALS is the number one way to unite and fundraise for those living with ALS. Please consider supporting my efforts by donating through my fundraising page.
Your donation today will help fund resources and services to the local ALS community, help find new ALS treatments, and move us closer to a world without the disease.
Please feel free to send this page to any friend or family member who might be interested in donating!
Thank you.
