Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I'm participating in ALS United Greater New York’s Walk ALS to raise funds that will support individuals and families affected by ALS.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause or cure.

My family and I started Carl's Crusade and joined the ALS Walks in 2018, following my Dad's diagnosis the year prior.  He was deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support surrounding him and his journey. He approached every day with purpose and refused to let his diagnosis define the way he lived.

After he passed in 2019, I became involved with the organization to stay connected to other caregivers and to people who share the same passion for this cause. I’ve taken part in fundraising events, support groups, and advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill, all to raise awareness and fuel the search for a cure.

Over time, that involvement grew, and I eventually stepped into the role of President of the ALS United Young Professionals of New York, helping lead a community of advocates committed to honoring families like mine and advancing the mission.

Being a part of ALS United Greater New York’s WALK ALS is the number one way to unite and fundraise for those living with ALS. Please consider supporting my efforts by donating through my fundraising page.

Your donation today will help fund resources and services to the local ALS community like it did for mine, help find new ALS treatments, and move us closer to a world without the disease. On behalf of my dad and the entire ALS community, we are eternally grateful.

We won't stop until we find a cure!
