Walking for Dolores — Help Us End ALS
Our family is walking in honor of our mom, Dolores DeMaio — a devoted mother to three sons, a cherished mother-in-law, and the most loving Nana to her seven grandchildren.
Dolores is the heart of our family. Strong, nurturing, and endlessly devoted to the people she loves, she has spent her life pouring herself into others. When she was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), our world changed — but she didn't. Every single day, she faces this disease with a quiet courage that humbles us and inspires everyone around her. ALS may be affecting her body, but it has never touched her spirit.
We walk because we want more time, more answers, and more hope — for Dolores, and for every family that has ever heard those three letters. We walk to fuel the research, care, and advocacy that will one day make ALS a disease of the past.
Most of all, we walk to show Dolores what she has always shown us: that love shows up. That you don't face hard things alone. That her whole family — every one of us — is right here beside her, step by step.
Thank you for supporting our team, honoring Dolores, and helping us move closer to a world without ALS.
