Welcome to my ALS Walk fundraising page.

I’m participating in the ALS Jersey Shore Walk in memory of my mother-in-law, Kathy Pelak.

ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the nerve cells responsible for controlling voluntary muscle movement. As the disease progresses, people gradually lose the ability to walk, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. While there are treatments that can help manage symptoms, there is currently no cure.

This cause is deeply personal to me and my family. Watching someone you love battle ALS is heartbreaking, and it’s something no family should have to experience.

I’m raising money to support ALS research, patient care, and advocacy in the hope that one day we can live in a world where no one has to hear the words, “You have ALS.”
