Walk ALS Jersey Shore: Mr. Omar Guzman - ALS United Greater New York

I am sharing this fundraising page for Walk ALS Jersey Shore: Team Shelley! I joined Team Shelley because Dan is one of the mentors in the fire service. Over my 25 years on the job, Dan has been so much more than fellow firefighter. He was everyone’s big brother , the guy you looked to for advice, guidance or just someone that always had your back.As the years went on and he went through the ranks, that big-brother role grew into more. For many of us became a mentor and a father figure.

Dan is a great firefighter, leader adn above all, a man with strong family values. He has helped shape generations of firefighters, myself included, he has impacted our lives and careers beyond measure. He retired less than a year ago after decades of serving his community and was recently diagnosed with ALS. I will be walking in. Dan’s name to honor a man who has spent most of his life looking out for others.
