Raising ALS Awareness!
Me and my Dad a long time ago.....
I participating in ALS United Greater New York’s Walk ALS to raise funds to support individuals and families affected.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The brain, however, remains fully functioning.
Life expectancy is 2 to 5 years.
There is no known cause or cure.
I am walking in honor of my father, Edward Cohn, who passed in December 2000 from ALS, and my mother, Stephanie Cohn, who was his primary caregiver.
