I am running with Team ALS to support those affected by ALS, especially for my cousin and one of my best friends (literally since I was born), Dan Poulsen. 

Dan is one of the most amazing people on Earth, and has inspired everyone who has met him to be better people, to work hard, be kind, and enjoy life. As he valiantly battles this disease, the least I can do is run to help raise funds for ALS. All the funds I raise will go toward where it's needed most: research, community support, and patient services.

Presently, there is no known cure for ALS, but we are working hard in our lab at Cornell, labs in Columbia, and at New York Genome Center to find better tools to diagnose, treat, and hopefully one day cure ALS!
