Today, a group of us are taking on the Sunshine Coast Marathon in preparation for the New York City Marathon this November, where I’ll be running in support of those affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND/ALS).
MND is a devastating disease with no cure, gradually taking away a person’s ability to move, speak, eat and breathe while their mind remains fully aware. I'll be running in memory of my mother in law, Susan.
Ten years ago, my friend Hanna and I promised we’d run the NYC Marathon together when we turned 30. This November, we’re honouring that promise with a purpose: raising awareness, funding research, and helping bring us closer to a cure. Thank you for being part of this journey.
