My Personal Walk to Defeat ALS Page
Dear Friends and Family,
It's that time again, the Walk to Defeat ALS. Thanks in part to all of you, we were able to raise a great deal of money during the past years.
As a family, we lived with ALS for 4 years. Howard unfortunately lost his battle in May 2017. Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. This crippling disease can strike anyone. It can cost loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. The donations had directly helped Howard, Allie, Jenny and me through services and support.
Although there have been some strides in research and treatment for this horrible disease, we are still far from completing the journey to a cure. Our team is committed to raising money to support people in our community with ALS and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatment and a cure.
Please consider sponsoring our team, Howard's Buddies,on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at The promenade in Long Branch, NJ. Donating will help make a difference in the lives of all people living with ALS and their families.
ALS is not incurable. It's underfunded!
With much appreciation,
Marilyn
