Thank you for helping us reach our "Walk to Defeat ALS" fundraising goal! The Walk to Defeat ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.

Many of you know that we lost our son (and your friend), Jeremy to ALS. As you know, the story about ALS has not changed much. Still no cure but there continues to be hope as researchers keep coming up with new ideas for slowing down the disease or determining a new pathway to eliminate ALS.

Everyone wants to live. Everyone wants to love, laugh and live for as long as they can. ALS shortens their time with us and the destructive way it disables victims is something you cannot believe if you have not seen its progress.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.

That's why we are walking. To change the statistics. To bring help and hope to those living with the disease. To ensure that no one ever hears the words: "You have ALS- Now get your affairs in order."

We can't stop now. The key to a cure begins with you.
