Walk to Defeat ALS
Sunday October 15, 2023 – Walkway Over the Hudson
Three and a half years ago my husband, Dave, was told he had ALS. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
Dave's progression is slow, and we are grateful for that. Each day, Dave faces the effects of this devastating disease with courage, strength and a positive outlook.
Dave and I are joining the Walk to Defeat ALS. To change the statistics. To bring help and hope to those living with the disease. To ensure that no one ever hears the words: "You have ALS" again.
Please join us by walking with us and/or donating. We need a cure! With your help, we will be able to make a difference!
