Walk For ALS Zdzislaw Gabryszewski Jersey Shore Page
Our father, Zdzislaw, has been courageously battling ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
For those who know our dad, you know that he has always been the kind of man who gives everything of himself to help others. He escaped communist Poland in the 1960s, arriving in the United States with nothing but hope and determination. With no one to rely on, he started as a laborer, working his way up to become the superintendent of his company. He didn't just live the American Dream—he built it, brick by brick, with his own hands. Along the way, he devoted himself to helping others—family members, friends, even strangers—who needed a helping hand.
Now, our strong, proud, and generous father, who has always been our rock, is facing a battle that no one should have to face. As much as he might not admit it, he needs our support in this fight against such a debilitating disease. Our mother, whose story is equally inspiring, is his primary caregiver and she, too, could use our help.
On Saturday, September 14, 2024, we will be walking in the ALS Jersey Shore Walk. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to support those affected by ALS and to make a meaningful impact in our community. This cause is incredibly personal to us, and I am asking from the bottom of my heart for your support.
The need is urgent—especially since New Jersey and the Murphy Administration have recently cut ALS United funding for our area by over 60%.
Please consider making a donation. Your support means the world to us, to our father, and to all the families who are facing this devastating disease.
