Strides For Susan
My beautiful mother, inside and out, always beaming with positivity, exuberance and love was recenlty diagnosed with ALS. The diagnosis was heartbreaking, not knowing what the future may hold for her, but our family has rallied around her and she is now residing with my brother and sister-in law who are taking excellent care of her. Just like she took care of us her whole life, it's now our turn to take care of her. There is no cure for ALS but money from events like this help fund critical ALS research and provide families like ours essential equipment and more importantly - hope.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
