Bea's Bunch
Welcome to our team page!
Our beautiful Mom (& Nanny) was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 50 years young. Every day for 3 years her body was being taken away from her. She could not walk, talk or move in any way. We communicated with her by her blinking her eyes. She was a prisoner in her own body. She was an amazing human being! Loving wife, devoted mom, caring nanny, sister, aunt & friend. Everyone who knew her absolutely loved her! Watching this happen to someone you love so much tears your heart out. She, her entire family & future family were robbed of a lifetime together because she died at the young age of 53.
A cure MUST be found for this cruel, in humane & most horrific disease.
Thank you for helping us reach our fundraising goal! Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.
Help us move a cure for ALS over the finish line by donating today. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS.
Thank you for your support!
