Walk ALS Westchester

JFB's League

Welcome to JFB's League!
We are participating in ALS United Greater New York’s Walk ALS to raise funds to support people in our local community with ALS and spread awareness. We're honored to be part of this event, and we're grateful for your support.

Why We're Walking
We're walking in memory of our dad, John F. Bianco, Jr, who bravely battled ALS for 6 months before passing away in 2020. He was an amazing person who inspired us every day, and we're so proud to be carrying on his legacy by supporting ALS research and awareness. My grandma, MaryJane, also fought ALS 20 years before him, which is why we walk side by side with the team Carrying the Flame for Maryjane!

About ALS
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, and there is currently no known cure. It still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.

Help Us Reach Our Goal!
We're committed to raising money to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. Your donation will help us move closer to a world without ALS. Thank you for your support!
