Shara's Walk ALS Page
It's that time again! Stormin 4 Norman is Walking once more in memory of my hero: my dad Norm Holzberg. When Norm became symptomatic at age 39, ALS became part of my family's story forever.
Some of you knew my father and witnessed his incredibly courageous battle with this disease. Many of you never had the privilege of meeting him. But you have likely heard endless stories about him and so many of my other ALS heroes.
ALS United Greater New York helped my dad continue to live his life on his terms. They continue to do this for so many other PALS every day. Funds raised from this Walk directly impact the NY Chapter ability to fund research trials and provide patients services: support groups, an equipment loan program, access to specialized care/clinics for those diagnosed with ALS. I’ve seen ,firsthand. how these things are so helpful to the PALS and how much it helps make this terrible disease just at tiny bit easier.
I'm asking you to please help pay tribute to the memory of a man whose spirit soared above his body and showed us how to overcome insurmountable obstacles with humor, grace, and dignity. There’s no better way to honored him than to give back in his memory and continue his fight! Every little bit helps. No one else should lose a loved one to this disease.
