My Personal Walk ALS Page
Every step I take in the ALS United Greater New York's Walk ALS carries the memory of my mom, who I lost to this devastating disease almost a year ago.
ALS is cruelly efficient—it gradually robs a person of their ability to move, speak, eat, and breathe while leaving their mind intact. My mom became trapped in her own body, a reality that was unbearable for her and to witness as her child. The average life expectancy after diagnosis is just 2-5 years, and currently, there is no cure. This walk isn't just a fundraiser for me—it's personal.
Your donation will directly fund resources for families like mine, support vital research for new treatments, and bring us closer to a world where no one else has to watch their loved one slowly disappear while still present. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps families navigate this heartbreaking journey.
Thank you for standing with me and with every family affected by ALS. Together, we walk not just for those we've lost, but for a future without this devastating disease.
