Kathy Ventarola ALS Walk
Hello All!
This will be my fourth time participating in ALS United Greater New York's Walk ALS to raise funds that will support individuals and families affected by ALS. May is ALS awareness month and fittingly, I was diagnosed 2 years ago on May 29th with Bulbar onset ALS.
I am unable to speak or eat normally but still have use of my arms and legs and will continue to walk as long as I am able. You can help by donating which assists funding resources and services to the local ALS community, helps fund new treatments and move towards finding a cure.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity. Currently there is no known cause or cure.
Please consider supporting my efforts by donating through my fundraising page. Or consider participating in the Walk - Saturday May 30 the at Manhattanville University, Purchase - 9a is registration.
Please feel free to send this page to any friend or family member who mighgt be interested in donating.
Thank you so much,
Kathleen (Kathy) Ventarola
