My Personal Walk ALS Westchester Page
Some people change the course of your career without ever fully realizing the impact they’ve had on you. For me, that person is Liz.
Elizabeth Zabludoff was my mentor, my advocate, and one of the people who helped shape the professional I’ve become over the last 6 years. She believed in me, challenged me, encouraged me, and opened doors for me at moments that truly changed my life and career trajectory.
Earlier this year, Liz was diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). ALS is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause or cure.
On May 30th, I’ll be walking in support of Liz and everyone affected by ALS. If you’re able, I would be incredibly grateful for your support — whether that’s by donating, joining the walk, or simply sharing this post.
More than anything, I just want Liz to feel the same love and support that she has given so freely to me and so many others over the years.
Thank you!
